How I got here

I co-founded Vilicom Engineering and spent over two decades building and leading it, as Director, then CEO, then Chairman, before exiting the business in 2021. I was also a founding promoter and director of Ludgate in Skibbereen, helping build a rural innovation ecosystem in West Cork.

Today I am building WildFuture, a place based venture that helps founders and leadership teams pause, see the real challenge clearly, and leave with practical decisions and next steps.

Why WildFuture exists

In busy organisations the hard part is rarely generating ideas. It is agreeing what matters, deciding, and following through. WildFuture creates the conditions for that: time, attention, structured thinking, and a landscape that changes perspective. Space to think, away from screens and noise, without losing rigour.

How I work

Calm, structured and practical. I listen closely, challenge gently, and use simple frameworks to help teams surface what matters, explore the options, and decide. The output is always something you can act on.

Part of the job is stripping away the corporate veil. Out on the land, without the room and the slide deck, people say the thing they have been circling for months. That is usually the thing worth deciding.

What I run at WildFuture

  • Strategy Offsites at Mount KidHalf day and full day sessions for leadership teams, founders, boards and core teams, typically two to ten people. See Strategy Offsites
  • Thinking TrailsFacilitated walking sessions, one to one or in small groups, for clarity and next steps. See Thinking Trails
  • Prep and follow upShort optional sessions before and after, to embed the actions and hold the momentum.

Bring me the live challenge

Tell me what you are working on and who will be in the room. If a Strategy Offsite is not the right answer, I will say so and point you at the format that is.
